The Nest

This will be a house tour of sorts, be kind...the house is "dated".

The hubs built this house for us on one acre of land, on the Manasquan River, in 1984.

Backyard

Come on inside!

Entry Way
with a look back at the front door.

The view of the entryway and half bath, if your back is to the front door.
The brown door leads to the garage.

Two floors, looking up, let's go upstairs...

Guest Bedroom -  Summer Bed Cover

Guest Bedroom, with the winter duvet cover, this is one of my favorite rooms in the house.

Another view, it's open and uncluttered!

Guest Bathroom

- soak your cares away -

2nd Bedroom, no kids, we use it for storage.

I love to be organized and I am obsessed with labels!

Master Bedroom and Bath

The sleeping part, I love the sloped ceilings!

Master Bath

Family Room

Family Room, downstairs, this room is really large.
The backyard deck wraps around this room.

Family Room Fireplace

Family Room, other views...

Another view of the family room, looking into the kitchen.

Kitchen

Greenhouse, Dining Nook in the Kitchen

Living Room

The view of the Living Room as you walk in the front door, the back wall is mirrors, floor to ceiling.

The Living Room stone fireplace goes right thru to the upstairs!

I love this chair...standing here, you can see the front door.

Detail of the couch, pillows and end table.
The picture above the couch is an oil painting with several dimensional elements, it's a one of a kind.

Home Office

Work Station - I love this table from Pottery Barn

The open doorway on the left leads to the kitchen.

This piece of furniture holds a lot of our business files and a desk that opens up.
I put "pretty things" on the top shelf.

It looks like this when I am actively working.

Our home office used to be our dining room, and is where all the "magic" happens!
Multi purpose room for working, crafting, scrapbooking and blogging!

Pool

Our pool with a view of the Manasquan River where we spend most of our time in the summer.

When some people decorate, they want everything to match, I am a little different.
I like different fabrics, textures and all different kinds and colors of wood.

I hope you enjoyed your tour.

I hopped to you from The Furry Gnome. Beautiful rooms, what a view from your pool. Lovely in every way and not dated at all.

After seeing Luna's comment, I had to come back again for another tour.
Debbie, you and Chuck have made such a beautiful home together. I love
that you label things; maybe I should start doing that. LOL
